Six-Month Contract with potential to become permanent Your new company An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused Project Controller to join a global, project-driven organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial and operational reporting across a portfolio of complex projects within a centralised delivery function. Acting as a trusted finance business partner, you will work closely with both project execution and pre-sales teams, providing insight, challenge, and support to drive improved financial performance. You will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with financial standards, governance frameworks, and internal controls,withinlarge-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projectenvironments. Your new role Deliver accurate and timely reporting of financial and non-financial KPIs across the project portfolio Monitor and analyse project performance, including P&L, cash flow, and gross margin evolution Partner with project delivery and bid teams to challenge assumptions and improve financial outcomes Workclosely alongside Project Managers throughout the full project lifecycle,providing commercial and financial support Support core financial activities, including revenue recognition, margin analysis, cash flow management, taxation, and statutory compliance Provide insight into portfolio performance, including margin variance, backlog trends, and cash performance metrics Identify risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (including IFRS15), as well as internal policies and procedures Implement and maintain project controlling frameworks, including risk escalation processes and risk/opportunity management Applystrong contractual understanding to support project governance, changemanagement, and commercial decision-making Support forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management, ensuring accuracy and visibility of future performance Maintain data accuracy across financial systems and reporting tools, ensuring high-quality decision-making inputs Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Tax, Treasury, Risk, Contracts, and Finance Contribute to business decision-making through financial analysis, reporting, and participation in project reviews What you'll need to succeed Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications advantageous) Minimum 5 years experience in project controlling, commercial finance, or within a project-based environment Provenexperience working within EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction)project environments Strong understanding of financial management principles, including P&L oversight, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow Demonstratedexperience partnering closely with Project Managers and project delivery teams Solidcontractual and commercial understanding, including exposure to contract terms,variations, and risk allocation Knowledge of IFRS15 and financial governance frameworks within complex organisations Advanced Excel skills, with experience using reporting and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into meaningful insights Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders Proven ability to partner with operational teams to drive accountability and performance improvements Self-motivated,with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously Backgroundwithin large energy, infrastructure, utilities, or industrial organisations ishighly regarded (e.g. global engineering firms, power generation, watertreatment, or major infrastructure operators) What you'll get in return Opportunity to join a global organisation delivering complex, high-value projects Key role partnering with senior stakeholders across finance and operations Exposure to large-scale project portfolios and strategic decision-making Collaborative and high-performing team environment Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities Competitive salary package and benefits What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
