Sydney Investment Banking Contract or Temporary An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading global financial services organisation as an Associate within the Client Services team supporting the Corporate Trust business in Sydney. This position is ideally suited to candidates with operations or client services experience within financial services, combined with strong written and verbal communication skills and a genuine interest in building a career in client servicing and financial markets. The Opportunity Working as part of a collaborative and high-performing team, you will provide operational and client support across the lifecycle of complex financial transactions. You will act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring the timely completion of operational activities and delivering a high standard of service. This is a hybrid position based in Sydney. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality support to clients and internal stakeholders across a range of operational processes and transaction activities. Support the administration and ongoing servicing of complex financing and structured transaction arrangements throughout their lifecycle. Assist with transaction-related activities including payment processing, cash movements, interest distributions, reporting, and reconciliation activities. Monitor key transaction events, deadlines, and obligations to ensure activities are completed accurately and within required timeframes. Respond to client enquiries via phone and email regarding products, services, processes, and transaction-related matters. Manage routine operational tasks including payments, billing, reporting, data maintenance, and transaction processing activities. Investigate and resolve operational and client-related issues, escalating matters where required and ensuring timely follow-up. Liaise with internal teams to coordinate issue resolution and provide updates on outstanding items. Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and service delivery. Support and provide guidance to junior team members where appropriate. About You To be successful in this position, you will possess: Previous experience in an operations, administration, or client services role, ideally within financial services ideally in corporate trust. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders. Exposure to financial markets, investment operations, treasury operations, lending operations, securities services, or transaction management environments will be highly regarded. Previous experience supporting debt, financing, fixed income, or structured transaction products would be advantageous but is not essential. An understanding of transaction lifecycles, cash flows, settlements, or payment processes within financial services is desirable. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in your work. A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement. A tertiary qualification will be viewed favourably but is not essential.
