About our client Our client is a well-established Australian business operating in a highly resilient, essential services environment. They’ve built a strong reputation for operational excellence, underpinned by smart, considered use of technology. What stands out is the leadership mindset—pragmatic, commercially focused and genuinely open to innovation where it drives real outcomes. The business has already made meaningful investments across cloud, data and platforms and is now entering the next phase of its evolution. With a clear appetite to better leverage AI, automation and advanced analytics, they are looking to bring more structure and intent to how technology shapes the future of the organisation. About the role This is a true Enterprise Architect position with broad remit across applications, data, infrastructure and emerging technology. You’ll define the enterprise-wide architecture strategy, set guardrails and standards, and provide direction across a Microsoft-centric environment (Azure, M365, Dynamics, Power Platform). Working closely with leadership, delivery teams and external partners, your role is to bring clarity and cohesion to a complex landscape. A key focus is accelerating the adoption of AI and intelligent automation in a way that delivers tangible business value—not experimentation for its own sake. Key focus areas include: Defining the enterprise architecture vision, roadmap and governance framework Shaping scalable, future-ready platforms across applications, data and cloud Providing oversight of a multi-vendor / MSP environment Co‑leading the evolution of data and analytics capability (Azure, SQL, Power BI) Identifying and progressing AI, automation and advanced analytics use cases Embedding practical, production‑grade AI solutions that improve operations and customer outcomes Bringing rigour and structure to technology decision‑making and investment This is a role that sets the “north star” and ensures the organisation moves toward it in a deliberate, well‑architected way. The successful candidate You’re an experienced Enterprise or Lead Architect who operates comfortably across a broad landscape and knows how to influence at senior levels. You bring a balance of strategic thinking and pragmatism—able to translate ambiguity into clear direction, without over‑engineering. You’ll likely have: Proven experience defining architecture strategy, standards and governance across multiple domains A strong track record working across applications, data, integration and cloud Experience operating within multi‑vendor or MSP‑led environments Solid exposure to Microsoft ecosystems (Azure, M365, Dynamics, Power Platform) The ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority From an AI perspective, you don’t need to be a data scientist—but you do need to understand where the real value sits: Exposure to AI, automation or advanced analytics initiatives Ability to assess and prioritise high‑impact use cases Understanding of data readiness, scalability and governance considerations A mindset focused on simplification, efficiency and measurable outcomes What is on offer A senior, enterprise‑wide role with genuine influence over technology direction The opportunity to shape how AI and automation are embedded across a growing organisation A business with strong foundations, clear investment appetite and long‑term vision Supportive, engaged leadership that values input and direction‑setting A collaborative environment where architecture is seen as a true enabler Salary of $200,000 - 220,000 super This is a rare opportunity to step into a business at the right point in its evolution—where the fundamentals are in place, and the next phase is about smarter, AI‑enabled growth.
