The opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our Energy and Utilities Finance team at Head Office. This role plays a critical part in partnering with our Lines of Business to deliver high quality financial insight, performance management, and commercial decision support. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating financial and operational data into meaningful analysis that drives business outcomes. With a strong focus on forward looking insights, you will lead the development and optimisation of FP and A processes, reporting frameworks, and performance packs across the business. This is an opportunity to influence performance at scale, contribute to finance transformation initiatives and enhance reporting capability through tools such as Power BI. What we are looking for We are seeking a commercially focused finance professional who thrives in a business partnering environment and can confidently engage with senior stakeholders. Key requirements include: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or commerce CPA or CA qualification highly regarded Proven experience in FP and A, finance business partnering or similar role Experience working in large complex or project based environments Strong capability in budgeting, forecasting and performance management Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP OneStream or JDE You will also bring: Strong commercial acumen and operational awareness Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills A proactive and curious mindset with a focus on continuous improvement The ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and influence outcomes What we offer At Downer, we offer a supportive and high performing environment where you can grow your career and make an impact.
