Position Overview We are seeking a qualified and experienced Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join our growing team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of HVAC&R systems for commercial clients. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who demonstrates strong technical ability, excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to high-quality service. Key Responsibilities Install, service and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including split systems, ducted units, VRV/VRF systems, and commercial refrigeration equipment. Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance across a variety of sites. Diagnose faults, identify parts requirements and complete high-quality repairs. Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, industry regulations and company procedures. Perform refrigeration pipework, brazing, evacuation, charging and testing. Complete service documentation, job reports and customer communication as required. Maintain safe work practices and ensure correct handling of refrigerants and electrical components. Provide excellent customer service while representing West Coast HVAC on-site. Skills & Requirements Certificate III in Airconditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent trade qualification). Current Restricted Electrical Licence or full Electrical Licence (highly regarded). Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCTick). Valid drivers licence. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
