General Manager – Operations & Growth Perth Based | WA Operations $300,000 – $350,000 Package (DOE) Core Talent is partnering with an established Western Australian contracting business to recruit a commercially minded General Manager – Operations & Growth . This is a unique opportunity to join a respected privately-owned organisation and work closely with the owners to drive operational performance, strengthen business capability and support the next phase of growth. The role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational execution, ensuring the business continues to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients while building a scalable platform for future success. About the Role Reporting directly to the owners, you will take responsibility for the overall performance of the business across operations, people, commercial outcomes and growth initiatives. Key responsibilities include: Leading day-to-day business operations across multiple projects and service areas Driving accountability, performance and operational excellence throughout the organisation Developing and implementing systems, processes and reporting frameworks to support business growth Supporting business planning, scalability and long-term strategic objectives Identifying and pursuing opportunities for business growth and market expansion Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders Providing leadership, mentoring and support to managers and operational teams Overseeing commercial performance, budgeting and financial accountability Managing contractual, risk and compliance requirements Supporting workforce planning, succession planning and leadership development initiatives Driving continuous improvement across business operations, safety and service delivery About You You are an experienced operational leader with a track record of improving performance, leading teams and delivering sustainable growth within contracting, construction or related industries. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Experience in a General Manager, Operations Manager, Business Manager or similar senior leadership role Strong operational and commercial management capability Experience managing budgets, business performance and profitability Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams Experience implementing systems, processes and organisational improvements Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills The ability to balance strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on leadership approach Strong decision-making, problem-solving and leadership capability Experience driving business improvement and growth initiatives High levels of accountability, professionalism and commercial acumen Experience within contracting, civil construction, infrastructure, industrial services or related industries will be highly regarded.
