Operations Manager | Commercial Fit-Out & D&C Lead Project Delivery | Report Directly to the Managing Director | We're partnering with a well-established commercial builder with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality fit-out and design & construct projects across the commercial, workplace, education, health and government sectors. With projects valued up to $15 million, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth and is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join the leadership team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a key leadership role responsible for driving project delivery performance, mentoring project teams and contributing to the strategic direction of the business. You'll oversee the Construction Manager and a team of Project Managers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably, on time and to the high standards the business is known for. The Role Lead and mentor the Construction Manager and Project Management team. Drive consistency and excellence across project delivery. Monitor programme, budget, commercial performance and project risk. Support Project Managers in resolving complex delivery and client issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders. Work closely with the Managing Director on business strategy, operational improvements and future growth initiatives. Implement and refine systems and processes to improve efficiency, accountability and project outcomes. Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, quality and client satisfaction. About You You are an experienced senior project delivery professional who understands what it takes to successfully deliver commercial fit-out and D&C projects. Whether you're currently an Operations Manager, Construction Manager or Senior Project Manager ready for the next step, you'll bring proven leadership capability and commercial acumen. You'll ideally have: Extensive experience delivering commercial fit-out and D&C projects valued up to $15M. Strong leadership experience managing Project Managers and construction teams. Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge. A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor and develop people. Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills. The ability to balance operational delivery with strategic business objectives. A genuine passion for improving systems, processes and project performance.
