The Role The RACP is undertaking a broad program of change to redesign training programs, uplift workforce capability, and implement enabling technologies. Central to this is Project TRELLiS, the College’s flagship digital transformation initiative, reimagining member experience while improving operational efficiency, employee experience and reducing cost to serve. This role is a 3 month fixed term contract, the Communication Specialist's primary responsibility is to develop a college-wide digital communications plan aligned to organisation and member experience outcomes. Accountabilities: Develop a college‑wide digital communications plan, defining the role of key channels, content types and how channels work together to support clarity, engagement, trust and adoption across the RACP Define channel principles, standards and guardrails to improve consistency, reduce duplication and enable more coherent, member‑centred communications across programs and business unit Design enterprise‑level communications planning approaches, including audience segmentation, end‑to‑end communication journeys, future‑state communications models and triggered communications. Apply enterprise communications approaches within TRELLiS as a primary delivery context, establishing scalable patterns that can be adopted more broadly across the College. Build and maintain a deep understanding of RACP audiences through analysis of behaviours, needs and journeys, supported by interviews, workshops and other engagement activities as required. Audit existing college communications and channels to assess effectiveness, duplication and value, identifying opportunities to simplify, retire or redesign communications. Contribute to the planning and design of automated communications journeys, including segmentation and trigger based communications, working with Communications, Digital and Platform teams to ensure alignment with college wide standards Desired Skills and Experience The successful candidate will have: Essential • Minimum 7 years’ experience in communications roles Proven experience delivering digital channel strategies that optimise communications Designed and executed end-to-end communication plans aligned with organizational and experience goals Demonstrated experience producing high quality communications artefacts Strong capability in translating complex information into clear, concise and engaging written and visual communications Ability to provide specific, granular and implementable recommendations as part of communications planning and journey design Proven ability to operate effectively in environments with evolving information and competing priorities Highly developed stakeholder engagement and partnering skills IT Capabilities Date: March 2026 Reviewed by: Digital Program Manager, TRELLiS Microsoft Office Suite SharePoint and collaboration platforms Experience with presentation, document design and digital content tools To apply, please send your resume and short cover letter We will be shortlisting candidates as applications are received, and the advertisement may close prior to the listed end date if a suitable candidate is identified
