About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for a commercially driven and relationship‑focused Account Manager to join a global manufacturing and innovation‑led business within the textile and materials sector. Based in Melbourne’s south‑east, this role plays a critical part in managing key customer relationships while driving growth through both existing accounts and new business opportunities. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, overseeing the full lifecycle from initial enquiry through to production and delivery. With a strong focus on service excellence, you will collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions, ensure seamless execution, and identify opportunities to expand market share. Duties Act as the primary point of contact for customer accounts, ensuring consistent communication and high service standards. Build and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor. Manage the end‑to‑end order lifecycle, from enquiry and quotation through to production, delivery, and after‑sales support. Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and actively pursue new business opportunities. Collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver tailored solutions, proposals, and product recommendations aligned to customer needs. Monitor account performance, including pipeline activity, forecasts, and sales results, ensuring accurate CRM management. Provide regular reporting and insights on account status, market trends, and growth opportunities. Resolve customer issues and service concerns promptly, maintaining high levels of satisfaction and retention. Ensure accurate processing of orders, documentation, and invoicing within internal systems. Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy and customer engagement. Skills & Experience Proven experience in B2B sales or account management, ideally within manufacturing, textiles, or a related industry. Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and develop long‑term partnerships. Commercially focused, with the ability to identify growth opportunities and achieve sales targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively. Experience using CRM systems, with solid Microsoft Office skills; ERP/SAP exposure is advantageous. Ability to analyse data, forecast performance, and contribute to sales planning. Self‑motivated, proactive, and results‑driven, with a strong sense of ownership. Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, sales, marketing, or a related discipline (preferred).
