The Opportunity This is a broad generalist HR role suited to someone who enjoys variety, building capability and partnering with leaders to deliver practical people solutions. Working as part of a collaborative People team, you'll provide advice across the employee lifecycle while contributing to the development of fit-for-purpose HR frameworks, policies and processes. You'll have the opportunity to work across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, work health and safety, case management and workforce initiatives, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys balancing operational delivery with continuous improvement. The Role As an APS6 HR Generalist, you will provide trusted advice and support across a broad range of human resource functions, including: Providing end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition support Delivering practical advice on employee relations, performance and conduct matters Managing workplace case management activities, including wellbeing and complex people matters Supporting Work Health and Safety programs, reporting and governance activities Developing and reviewing HR policies, procedures and guidance materials Partnering with managers to build capability and promote best practice people management Contributing to workforce planning, organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives Building strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation to deliver responsive HR services The Ideal Person You are an experienced APS HR professional who enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle and building trusted relationships with stakeholders. You bring sound knowledge of Australian Public Service employment frameworks and are confident providing practical, solutions-focused advice across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, case management and work health and safety. You are organised, adaptable and comfortable managing competing priorities in a changing environment. With strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, you thrive in roles where you can influence outcomes, improve processes and contribute to building a positive workplace culture. Previous experience supporting a growing or changing organisation will be highly regarded.
