This role sits at the intersection of communications, governance, and regulatory reporting, offering exposure to senior leadership, the Board, and enterprise-wide initiatives. You will lead the end-to-end delivery of key corporate communications and statutory reporting, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance across all public-facing materials. This is a hands-on role with genuine ownership, suited to someone who enjoys managing complex deliverables, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and producing high-quality outputs that influence how an organisation is understood externally. About the role You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering Australian Unity’s core corporate communications and governance reporting activities, including the Annual Report, sustainability and impact reporting, investor communications, and corporate channels such as the website and Investor Centre. Working at the intersection of communications, governance and regulatory compliance, the position also supports the Company Secretariat function, including the planning and execution of the Annual General Meeting (AGM), enhancement the quality of board reporting, and delivery of other statutory requirements. The role balances hands-on delivery with strategic oversight, ensuring communications and governance practices align with regulatory obligations, organisational priorities, and industry best practice while strengthening transparency, stakeholder confidence, and corporate reputation. Key Responsibilities Deliver Group Corporate Communication Activities Lead and coordinate the production of high-quality communication material, including reports, ASX announcements, speeches, presentations, internal communications, social media, executive updates and correspondence for senior leadership Act as the custodian of board/Group narrative by bringing together information from key documents and activities and ensuring messages are consistent and cohesive and communicate the board voice in statutory publications and other relevant Group activities Deliver and project manage Group statutory reporting activities (half-year and year-end) from inception to delivery including report content production, editing, design, approvals and publication; and bi-annual investor update sessions Provide strategic advice on corporate communications, ensuring statutory compliance and continuous improvement. Identify opportunities to improve corporate communication and align with industry best practice Understand business stress points and work with relevant teams to implement improvement opportunities Collaborate with and provide counsel to leaders across the Group to ensure consistent communication of Group activities, e.g. financial results Group Communication Program Lead the design and continuous improvement of the Group’s communications program, ensuring all governance and statutory communications are clear, concise, and fit-for-purpose Create, own and update key templates that are used for internal governance communications (e.g. Board and Committee memo templates, ‘how to’ writing guides etc) to promote consistency, clarity and effective decision-making Drive enterprise communications capability uplift by periodically training and supporting stakeholders to prepare high-quality internal communications, with a focus on simplicity, precision, and audience-appropriate messaging for Board and Committee environments Applications Close: 17 July, 2026 You will bring: 5-7 years’ experience communications, governance, investor relations, or a related field. Strong track record in managing statutory and year-end reporting, including Annual Reports, investor communications, and AGM-related activities in complex, matrixed and highly regulated organisations. Exceptional writing experience creating content across multiple channels and audiences, translating complex information into clear, engaging and compliant communications. Proven track record of leading internal communication improvement initiatives and are skilled at influencing stakeholders (C-suite and board) Strategic, collaborative and detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to balance governance and compliance requirements Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities with prior experience working with external agencies.
