Job Description The P&C Consultant acts as a trusted advisor to People Leaders, providing practical and commercially focused guidance across the full employee lifecycle. This role leads end-to-end employee relations casework, including performance management, conduct issues, grievances, wellbeing matters and workplace investigations, while coaching leaders to effectively navigate these situations. Working in close partnership with P&C Business Partners and Centres of Excellence, the consultant also supports the delivery of people initiatives, organisational change and key P&C projects, contributing to the development of leader capability and ensuring a consistent, high-quality people experience across the business. In this role you will: Take end-to-end ownership of assigned Employee Relation cases including performance management, misconduct, grievances and formal investigations. Partner with and coach People Leaders through complex ER matters, building their capability and confidence to manage issues consistently and in line with policy, legislation and the principles of procedural fairness. Assist with tailored return-to-work plans in collaboration with People Leaders, employees and external providers, supporting safe, sustainable and timely returns to the workplace. Provide hands-on support to organisational change activity — including planning, coordination and documentation, and attending and supporting consultation and outcome meetings — ensuring change is delivered fairly, compliantly and with care. Design and facilitate manager forums, training events and meetings for diverse audiences, lifting people leader capability across the organisation. Note: We are open to candidates from both Sydney and Melbourne. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in an ER/IR or HR advisory/consultant role, including hands-on management of ER/IR cases (performance, conduct, grievances and investigations). Sound working knowledge of relevant employment legislation and the ability to interpret and apply policy to complex situations. Relevant tertiary education Strong coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to build People Leader capability and confidence. Excellent written skills, including the preparation of case documentation, investigation reports and recommendations. Solid knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint and experience working with an HRIS, such as Workday.
