Reporting to the Principal HR, ER & Remuneration, this position leads complex ER matters, elevates policy governance, and drives meaningful change initiatives across the region. You’ll bring deep ER expertise, strong commercial awareness, and the confidence to navigate sensitive and challenging situations. Your work will help shape the culture, capability and engagement that enable our people and our organisation to thrive. Industrial & Employee Relations Lead complex ER matters including consultations, disputes, performance management, misconduct, grievances and investigations, ensuring procedural fairness and compliance. Provide expert, commercially grounded advice on employment legislation, award interpretation, Fair Work obligations and enterprise agreements. Deliver ER and people‑leadership training to managers. Embed psychosocial hazard obligations into ER practice and manager guidance. Partner with external advisors when required. Policy Development & Governance Contribute to the development, review and maintenance of HR and people policies. Draft policies that reflect legislation, organisational values and operational realities. Manage policy review cycles, stakeholder engagement and change communication. Support governance, audit and risk requirements related to people matters. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Champion DEI through everyday people practices and support DEI frameworks and programs. Partner with leaders to embed inclusive practices across the employee lifecycle. Monitor DEI metrics and drive continuous improvement. Psychological Safety & Wellbeing Act as a visible advocate for wellbeing and early intervention. Partner with leaders to build inclusive, high‑performing teams that address psychosocial risks. Support wellbeing initiatives, frameworks and early‑intervention strategies. Employee Engagement Lead initiatives that strengthen engagement, belonging, psychological safety and respectful behaviours. Use engagement insights to identify cultural themes and recommend targeted interventions. Help leaders translate insights into meaningful action. Change Management Support people‑related change initiatives, advising on consultation obligations, communication and transition risks. Design and deliver capability programs on ER fundamentals, performance conversations, wellbeing obligations and inclusive leadership. Contribute to broader organisational change programs. Essential Extensive experience in HR business partnering, ER and change roles within complex environments. Qualifications in HR, Industrial Relations, Law or a related field. Strong expertise in Australian employment legislation and IR frameworks. Proven ability to influence senior leaders and operate as a trusted advisor. Desirable Experience managing complex disputes and investigations. Background in multi‑site or unionised environments.
