What you’ll do As a Legal Counsel in Aurecon’s Legal & Governance team, you’ll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and solutions with people and outcomes in mind. Advise on Aurecon’s project engagements (construction, advisory and digital) including contract review, negotiation and dispute management Provide legal, risk and governance advice as required to the business, including senior leadership Collaborate with client project teams and internal stakeholders across projects and enterprise functions Management of external law firms Training on legal and governance matters to Aurecon employees We know today’s complex challenges can only be solved through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business, so there will be opportunities for you to apply your skills and unique strengths to projects. What you’ll bring You will be admitted to practice law in NSW or Victoria (based in Sydney or Melbourne), with 4 - 6 years PQE (ideally with a mix of private practice and in-house experience) Broad legal knowledge of construction and engineering law, experience with cyber, data and AI requirements, and litigation You will demonstrate the ability to make the complex simple and work with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, matrix organisation Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
