Description About the Role As a Houseperson, you will play an essential role in supporting the Housekeeping department by ensuring the hotel is well-stocked, clean, organised, and operating efficiently. Working closely with the Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager and Supervisors, you will assist in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Support the Housekeeping team with the distribution of linen, chemicals, guest amenities, and housekeeping supplies. Perform manual handling duties, including moving linen, equipment, rollaway beds and cots. Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of housekeeping storerooms, service areas, trolleys and equipment. Keep guest corridors and back-of-house areas clean, safe and free from obstructions. Ensure housekeeping equipment is maintained, cleaned and stored correctly. Assist with general housekeeping operations as directed by Supervisors and Management. Deliver prompt, friendly and professional service to guests and respond to requests efficiently. Follow all Workplace Health & Safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices. Maintain guest privacy, confidentiality and hotel security standards. Skills And Experiences About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience in Housekeeping, Hotel Operations, Cleaning or Hospitality (preferred but not essential) A positive attitude with a strong work ethic Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling and lifting duties Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
