The Opportunity We are seeking a senior security leader to own the end-to-end strategy, design, and delivery of our Security Engineering and Risk Operations Centre (ROC) capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity engineering, managed detection and response, and client-facing security consulting. This role blends security operations leadership, detection engineering strategy, and client-facing technical engagement. You will shape how we onboard, monitor, and protect client environments, while also partnering with Sales and Consulting teams to articulate value, support solution design, and influence strategic security decisions at senior stakeholder level. You will be equally comfortable leading ROC engineering direction, guiding incident response strategy, and sitting in client meetings to translate complex security capability into clear business outcomes. What You’ll Do Define and lead the strategic direction, maturity, and continuous improvement of the ROC and its detection, response, and monitoring capabilities. Lead and develop a high-performing team of security engineers and ROC leaders, fostering technical excellence, innovation, and professional growth. Drive the design, engineering, and optimisation of security technologies including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, detection content, and automation to improve operational effectiveness. Own the end-to-end technical onboarding of new clients, ensuring secure integration, effective telemetry, and comprehensive detection coverage across customer environments. Oversee threat detection, incident response, threat hunting, and continuous improvement activities to strengthen client security outcomes. Collaborate with Engineering, Consulting, and Client Delivery teams to deliver scalable, high-quality managed security services. Act as the senior technical authority for ROC services, providing strategic advice to clients and supporting pre-sales activities, solution design, and service development. Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, translating business and security challenges into effective detection and response solutions while identifying opportunities to enhance services. Establish and maintain operational standards, governance frameworks, and best practices that drive consistency, scalability, and measurable service excellence. What You’ll Bring Extensive experience in SOC leadership, security engineering, or managed detection and response environments. Strong background in SIEM/SOAR platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Google SecOps, etc.). Deep understanding of threat detection engineering, MITRE ATT&CK, and adversary behaviour modelling. Experience onboarding enterprise clients into managed security services or SOC environments. Strong incident response leadership experience in complex, multi-client environments. Proven ability to build and scale security operations teams. Experience in consulting, MSSP, or multi-tenant security environments highly desirable.
