Purchasing Officer Silverwater, NSW $70,000 - $85,000 Super Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm I am currently recruiting for a Purchasing Officer to join a leading building services organisation with a strong national presence and a long-standing reputation within the industry. Based in Silverwater, this role will see you supporting project teams through the accurate and timely procurement of materials and services. Working within an established purchasing team, you'll play an important role in ensuring projects have the resources they need, when they need them. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous purchasing experience who enjoys working in a structured environment and is looking for a stable, long-term position. Key Responsibilities Raising and processing purchase orders on a daily basis Obtaining supplier quotes and pricing Liaising with suppliers regarding availability, lead times and deliveries Following up outstanding orders to ensure project requirements are met Supporting project teams with day-to-day procurement requirements Maintaining accurate purchasing records and documentation Assisting with invoice matching and purchase order reconciliation Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships Purchase order values can range from small day-to-day purchases through to major project orders exceeding $1 million. About You Previous experience in a Purchasing Officer, Procurement Administrator or similar role Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Experience within construction, electrical, HVAC, building services or a related industry will be highly regarded Ability to manage a high volume of purchasing activity and competing priorities Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Australian or New Zealand Citizenship This role is best suited to someone who genuinely enjoys purchasing and procurement administration. The position involves a significant amount of purchase order processing and supplier coordination, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable working within established processes and maintaining a high level of accuracy across repetitive tasks.
