You'll be part of a collaborative infrastructure team that works closely with engineering groups and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions. Your new role As a Network Engineer, you'll contribute to the ongoing support and enhancement of a complex network environment spanning LAN, WAN, MAN, cloud, and externally facing systems. Working alongside senior engineers, you'll help maintain a stable, high-performing network while also supporting new initiatives and improvements. You'll be involved in implementing monitoring and automation to strengthen operational resilience, as well as supporting secure and scalable connectivity across cloud and on-prem platforms. The role offers a balance of BAU responsibilities and project work, giving you exposure to both day-to-day operations and broader infrastructure uplift initiatives. What you'll need to succeed Hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet technologies across switching, routing, and firewalls (including VDOMs), along with exposure to BGP, VPNs, multicast, and related protocols Experience working in hybrid cloud environments, ideally including AWS (Direct Connect, Transit Gateway) and Azure (ExpressRoute) Background designing and implementing highly available network solutions across multiple connectivity types Exposure to software-defined networking and modern security approaches such as zero trust Around 3-5 years' experience in data networking Exposure to financial services or trading-style environments is beneficial.
