An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join the executive leadership team and contribute to the continued growth and success of the organisation. Reporting directly to the MD & CEO, the Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across the company's security, emergency response and training operations. The role will focus on driving operational performance, improving service delivery, enhancing organisational capability and supporting sustainable business growth. Minimum Requirements: -Relevant Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Business, Management, Operations Management or a related discipline -At least two years of relevant senior management experience, or at least five years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications -Demonstrated experience leading operational teams within a complex service-based environment What you will be responsible for: -Provide executive leadership and direction for the company's security, emergency response and training operations across Australia -Develop and implement operational strategies to support business growth, profitability and service excellence -Direct and coordinate the activities of senior managers to ensure organisational objectives are achieved -Monitor operational and financial performance and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity and profitability -Lead workforce planning, resource allocation and operational capability development across multiple service divisions -Consult with departmental managers regarding staffing, equipment, technology, finance and operational requirements -Oversee the delivery of major client contracts and ensure services are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations -Identify opportunities for business expansion, service diversification and market growth -Review and approve operational budgets, forecasts and performance reports and provide recommendations to executive management -Establish and maintain strategic relationships with clients, government agencies, industry stakeholders and business partners -Lead organisational change initiatives and support the implementation of new systems, technologies and operational improvements -Assess operational risks and develop strategies to strengthen business resilience and service continuity -Represent the organisation in commercial negotiations, industry forums, client meetings and other high-level engagements -Manage, mentor and evaluate senior operational personnel to ensure strong leadership and organisational performance About You You are a highly capable operational leader with proven experience managing large-scale service operations and leading multidisciplinary teams. You possess strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking abilities and a demonstrated capacity to improve operational performance while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
