Job Duties: Due to consistent growth across our business, we are now seeking experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our high performing team at our Eagle Farm service centre. Your duties will include: Maintenance, testing & repair work on a broad range of Heavy Diesel Vehicles and equipment . Undertaking routine servicing such as oil and filter replacement, oil replacement, tuning. Diagnosing issues using diagnostic equipment and computer based systems to confirm faults. Responding to emergency break downs as required and where possible return the equipment or vehicle to working order. Identifying and resolving issues related to the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic aspects of the equipment. Employing technical diagrams and instruction manuals to facilitate the correct assembly and troubleshooting of equipment. Building and repairing components. Performing checks to guarantee that the assembled equipment meets or exceeds quality benchmarks. Accurately record all actions taken to ensure traceability and compliance with industry standards. Qualification and skill: The successful candidate will have: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology plus three years’ experience. Proven experience working with diesel engines and heavy vehicles Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good attention to detail and time management Waste industry experience (desirable). Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical failures and recommend solutions. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Commitment to safety and following standard work procedures.
