We have a great opportunity with an industry-leading plastics manufacturer based in Derimut . Commencing and training on day shift, these roles offer the opportunity to transition to afternoon or night shift upon successful completion of training. Working in a clean, safe, and modern manufacturing facility, you will be provided with extensive training and support from experienced operators while working with the latest extrusion technology. A current forklift licence is essential for this role, and previous plastic extrusion experience will be highly regarded. The company manufactures food-grade packaging film supplied to a range of food production and packaging industries. Key Duties Include: Operating and monitoring plastic extrusion machinery Setting up and adjusting production equipment to meet quality specifications Conducting quality checks and product inspections throughout the manufacturing process Monitoring temperatures, pressures, and machine performance Loading raw materials and replenishing production lines Recording production data and completing relevant documentation Identifying and troubleshooting minor machine faults Performing changeovers and assisting with machine setup activities Maintaining housekeeping standards and ensuring a clean work environment Following food-grade manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures Operating forklifts to move raw materials and finished goods Packing, wrapping, and preparing finished products for dispatch To Be Successful You Will Have: Current Forklift Licence (LF) Previous manufacturing or production experience Plastic extrusion experience highly regarded Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards Ability to work rotating shifts following training Reliable transport and strong attendance record This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing employment with a market-leading manufacturer offering training, career development, and long-term opportunities.
