The Opportunity An established and growing organisation within the industrial/manufacturing sector is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this is a broad, hands-on role offering exposure to month-end, reporting, and business partnering. You'll play a key role in maintaining financial integrity while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives across the business . Key Responsibilities Assist with month-end close, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting Maintain general ledger integrity and support management reporting Process and manage company expenses (corporate cards, fuel, tolls, fleet) Support budgeting and forecasting cycles Prepare financial reports and partner with cost centre stakeholders Assist with year-end audit and compliance requirements Identify process improvements and automation opportunities Contribute to internal and sustainability reporting About You Degree qualified in Accounting, or relevant experience in a similar role Strong Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems (D365 or similar highly regarded) Confident preparing reconciliations and analysing financial data High attention to detail with strong organisational skills Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders For more information, please contact our Robert Half, South East Office on 03 9239 8100.
