Description The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, reimbursements, and supplier payments in accordance with internal policies and audit requirements. The role supports the integrity of financial records, ensures compliance with tax and regulatory obligations, and helps maintain strong vendor and internal stakeholder relationships. A key performance focus is on ‘first time right’ processing, and nil critical disputes. Core Competencies Required: Accuracy & Attention to Detail – High standard of data entry precision and compliance adherence. Time Management – Ability to meet tight payment schedules and month-end deadlines. Customer Service Orientation – Clear and courteous communication with vendors and internal stakeholders. Integrity & Discretion – Handles sensitive financial data responsibly and confidentially. Problem Solving – Ability to investigate and resolve transactional discrepancies. Skills And Experiences Qualifications and experience: Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred). Minimum 4 years’ experience in accounts payable, finance support, or bookkeeping. Proficiency in accounting software, (e.g., Sage, Xero, or equivalent ERP system). Sage Intacct experience is highly desirable. Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders, particularly project and construction teams, is highly regarded. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation). Experience supporting multi-entity or cross-border payments is an advantage.
