OUTBACK ADVENTURE & CITY LIVING: AU PAIR – AUGUST START Location: Upper Warrego (near Augathella), QLD Start Date: August Children: Boy (5 months old) Driving: Not required This is an unforgettable outback adventure for an energetic and kind Au Pair. This welcoming family lives on a cattle station near Augathella in outback Queensland. The father works full-time managing the station, while the mother works from home. They are seeking an Au Pair as Mother’s Helper to look after their happy, active 5-month-old baby boy, who loves smiling, babbling, and being outdoors. This is a highly social family that loves the NRL footy, traveling for local motorbike competitions, and visiting local communities. They view this placement as a true cultural exchange and are excited to welcome someone into their home like a big sister to their little boy. Throughout the year, the family regularly travel around Queensland and northern New South Wales for motorbike riding competitions, which will give you the opportunity to see a lot of Australia and attend exciting local events You will be helping out around 30 hours per week, structured as 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon, Monday to Friday. Evenings and weekends are completely free for you to relax, socialize, or explore. Your main schedule will involve assisting the mother while she works from home, meaning she will always be around to support and provide training. Assisting with daily baby care, including dressing, changing nappies, and interactive playtime You will join the family traveling to Augathella for a local playgroups and supplies, with occasional longer trips to Charleville , as well as trips to Brisbane and other Australian cities! The family home is an old-school timber outback homestead surrounded by large flower and rose gardens. Your accommodation is located about 80 meters from the main house with a bedroom with plenty of storage, an ensuite bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchenette with a stove and oven. The property is also home to 1 corgi, 4 kelpies, 1 cat, and 2 horses so you must love animals! You will be: Comfortable caring for young babies under a mother's guidance. Have a genuine love for animals and an openness to experiencing rural Australian station life. Happy to adapt to a changing environment, whether it is quiet on the farm or busy with visiting workers and family.
