The Role Sitting alongside the managing directors, this is a genuine blend of hands-on finance and executive support. You will own the day-to-day accounting for the legal arm, including the trust accounting that comes with it, while also being a reliable right hand to the owners across both business and personal matters. It is a role for someone who is meticulous with numbers and equally trusted with sensitive, confidential information. Reporting to the managing director and based onsite in Western Sydney, you will keep the financial engine running cleanly and quietly. Duties will include, but not be limited to: Managing trust accounting for the legal arm in line with Law Society requirements, including reconciliations Running accounts payable and receivable and credit control Preparing BAS and completing regular reconciliations across the entities Processing billing through the legal practice platform for both retained and non-retained clients Keeping clean, accurate records across Xero Providing hands-on support to the managing directors, including diary and personal assistant tasks Handling the owners’ personal and family-office finances with complete confidentiality About You You are a capable, hands-on finance professional who takes real pride in accuracy and discretion. You are not precious about the work: you are equally comfortable reconciling a trust account, chasing a debtor and helping an owner with something personal and confidential. You are calm, organised and trustworthy, you read what is needed without being told, and you are looking for a settled role where you become genuinely relied upon rather than another number in a large finance team.
