About the team The Corporate Tax team supports clients through every stage of the corporate tax lifecycle — from tax audits and corporate governance to international tax matters and M&A, including due diligence and deal structuring. Within this, the firm's Financial Services practice helps clients navigate a fast-evolving regulatory landscape, where governance, systems, performance and conduct are all under close scrutiny. You'll work closely with Partners from day one, with a clear and transparent path for career progression, regular technical training, hands-on client exposure, and the chance to take on exciting secondments with blue-chip financial services clients. About the role This firm is looking for a Senior Associate, Manager or Senior Manager with Financial Services industry knowledge to join the Corporate Tax team in Sydney. You'll work alongside an established, highly knowledgeable team delivering exceptional outcomes for clients across banking, private equity, funds management and insurance, advising on a broad range of Australian tax matters. Key responsibilities Prepare and review company and trust tax returns for major financial services clients Research and support tax consulting advice (tax consolidation, tax treaties, hybrid mismatches, CFCs, withholding tax, thin capitalisation, permanent establishments, AMITs, etc.) Assist clients with M&A activity, including tax structuring and due diligence Support international tax research, advice and calculations Assist with ATO reviews, governance matters, audits and rulings Research and analyse technical tax issues, preparing reports Contribute to business development initiatives and proposals About you Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business/Commerce, Law or related field Strong corporate tax experience working with financial services clients Good understanding of Australian entity taxation, with basic tax-effect accounting knowledge Analytical, commercially curious, and confident applying technical knowledge to client work Experience supporting or coaching junior colleagues Strong work ethic and commitment to client service What's on offer 9-day fortnight with no reduction in pay Support for CA or other postgraduate study Structured learning and development at every career stage Fully funded gym membership and health insurance discounts To apply, click 'Apply Now' or send your CV directly to ludovie.aubert@edtglobal.com
