Task & responsibilities As a Cook in our fast-paced restaurant, your Key Tasks & Responsibilities will include: Prepare, cook, and present authentic Indian dishes using traditional recipes, techniques, and ingredients. Operate and manage the tandoori oven, ensuring correct temperatures, cooking times, and consistent food quality. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation in line with kitchen and safety regulations. Assist in planning daily menus and specials, accommodating dietary needs, cultural preferences, and food allergies. Support and guide junior cooks and kitchen assistants during food preparation and service. Monitor ingredient usage, check stock levels, and assist with ordering kitchen supplies to ensure uninterrupted service. Follow portion control and preparation guidelines to help manage food costs and reduce waste. Communicate with customers when required to receive feedback or handle special meal requests professionally. Qualification & experience Our Ideal Candidate will have: 1–2 years of experience in a similar role (Indian cuisine preferred). Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery and/or Diploma of Hospitality Management (highly regarded). Strong knowledge of Indian spices, cooking methods, and traditional recipes. Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure. Reliable, well-presented, and strong communication skills.
