Role Overview The Senior ICT Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex ICT infrastructure and digital transformation initiatives within a dynamic government environment. This includes managing projects across network, on-premises, and cloud platforms while ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, governance frameworks, and delivery outcomes. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Governance Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale ICT projects from initiation to closure Manage scope, schedule, resources, and budget in accordance with approved baselines Apply appropriate delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2, MSP, SAFe) to achieve outcomes Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, reporting requirements, and audit standards Financial & Performance Management Track and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance Monitor progress against milestones, KPIs, and deliverables Provide clear and accurate status reporting to executives and governance boards Risk & Issue Management Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues proactively Implement mitigation strategies and escalate where required Ensure alignment with organisational risk management frameworks Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships across business, technical, and executive stakeholders Prepare and present high-quality project documentation, including board papers, briefs, and reports Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences Team Leadership & Delivery Lead multidisciplinary teams across business, technical, and vendor resources Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment Manage third-party vendors, contracts, and delivery partners Requirements Key Skills & Experience Essential Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering complex ICT projects Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects Demonstrated capability across: Project lifecycle management (initiation through closure) Financial management, forecasting, and budget control Risk and issue management and escalation Executive-level reporting and governance engagement Strong experience working across infrastructure, cloud, and application delivery environments Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills Ability to work in complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments Desirable Experience in Federal Government or large enterprise environments Certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or SAFe Experience delivering network or infrastructure transformation programs
