Our continued growth has created an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Drainer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and construction of underground drainage systems and associated civil infrastructure works across a variety of commercial, residential, and civil construction projects. Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Install underground stormwater, sewerage, and drainage pipelines in accordance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and regulatory requirements. Excavate, prepare, and level trenches to ensure the correct placement and alignment of drainage systems and associated infrastructure. Lay and connect drainage pipes, pits, culverts, and associated fittings while maintaining required grades and flow characteristics. Read and interpret construction plans, site layouts, and technical documentation to determine installation requirements and work sequences. Operate excavators, loaders, compactors, and other civil construction equipment safely and efficiently during drainage works. Conduct inspections of drainage systems to identify defects, blockages, damage, or maintenance requirements and undertake corrective actions. Backfill, compact, and reinstate excavation areas to meet project specifications and maintain site integrity. Monitor work quality and ensure all drainage installations comply with relevant standards, project requirements, and safety regulations. Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance activities to ensure safe and reliable operation of tools and machinery. Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and construction teams to coordinate project activities and ensure timely completion of drainage works. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualifications. At least 2-3 years of relevant experience. Effective communication skills. Attention to detail. Skilled in drainage tools and equipment operation.
