As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a motivated Junior Electrical Technician to join our Perth-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified electrician or instrumentation technician who wants to build a long-term career in industrial process systems, automation, and water treatment. You'll receive structured training, hands-on mentoring, and exposure to a diverse range of projects and technologies across Western Australia. About the Role Working alongside experienced technical professionals, you'll support the installation, maintenance, commissioning, and optimisation of water and wastewater treatment systems. You'll gain practical experience working with : Electrical control systems and switchboards PLCs and automation equipment Pumps, motors, and variable speed drives Instrumentation and process control systems Chemical dosing and treatment equipment Industrial and mining water treatment facilities No previous water industry experience is required - we're looking for someone with the right attitude, strong technical foundations, and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities Electrical & Instrumentation Support : Assist with installation, maintenance, and fault finding on water treatment equipment Install, calibrate, and maintain field instrumentation including flow, pressure, level, and analytical devices Support commissioning and decommissioning activities Assist with control panel and PLC-related work Conduct preventative maintenance and routine servicing Service & Project Work : Support shutdowns, breakdown response, and project delivery Complete service reports and technical documentation Work safely in accordance with WHS requirements and site procedures Participate in risk assessments and permit processes Learning & Development : Develop knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes Learn industrial automation and process control systems Build expertise in instrumentation, chemical dosing, and operational troubleshooting Work closely with senior technicians and engineers to develop your technical capability About You To be successful, you'll have: Electrical Trade Qualification (A-Grade Electrician) or Instrumentation Trade Qualification Current Australian Electrical Licence (where applicable) Construction White Card Current Driver's Licence Strong commitment to safety and quality Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail A genuine desire to learn and grow within a technical environment Highly Regarded: 1-2 years post-trade experience Exposure to industrial, mining, utilities, manufacturing, or water treatment environments Experience with PLCs, instrumentation, motors, pumps, or control systems Understanding of 4-20mA instrumentation Ability to read electrical drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation Instrumentation qualification or willingness to obtain one What We Offer : Full-time permanent position based in Perth Structured training and mentoring Exposure to mining, industrial, and municipal water projects Career progression opportunities within a growing international business Diverse and interesting work across multiple customer sites Supportive team culture focused on professional development Opportunity to build specialist skills in a growing and essential industry If you're looking to move beyond traditional electrical work and develop a rewarding career in industrial process systems and water treatment, we'd love to hear from you.
