Join Westgold's Big Bell Operation, a flagship underground gold mine in the Murchison region of Western Australia. As part of a large-scale, long-life operation with significant growth plans, you'll play a key role in developing and mentoring underground personnel while supporting safe and productive mining operations. Big Bell is one of Westgold's most significant producing assets and a cornerstone of the Company's future growth strategy. Reporting to the Superintendent for Health & Safety, you will be responsible for delivering training, assessments and competency development activities across the underground workforce. Key Responsibilities Deliver underground inductions, training programs and competency assessments. Conduct Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments. Coach and mentor operators to develop skills, knowledge and safe work practices. Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation. Ensure training activities align with legislative and company requirements. Identify skills gaps and contribute to workforce development initiatives. Assist in the development and review of training materials and procedures. Foster a positive safety culture through ongoing engagement with site teams. What You'll Bring Experience in the gold mining industry (ideally in a training capacity). Strong understanding of WA mining operations and safety regulations. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong communication and facilitation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems. Essential Requirements Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent). Extensive underground mining experience. Current WA Class C Driver's Licence. National Police Clearance (issued within the last 12 months). Strong understanding of underground mining methods, equipment and safety practices. Excellent communication, coaching and mentoring skills. Desirable Underground Shift Supervisor experience. Frontline Management qualification. Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety. Current First Aid Certificate.
