About the program: AIR6500 is the RAAF’s $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. AIR6500 will create a fully networked ‘system of systems’ that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace. Your responsibilities will include: Join the AIR6500 program and contribute to one of Australia’s most advanced Defence capabilities. As a Senior V&V Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing team responsible for delivering robust verification outcomes across complex, integrated systems within a modern, digitally enabled engineering environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring system performance, quality, and mission readiness by driving verification activities across the full engineering lifecycle. In this role, you will: Own and contribute to V&V artefacts including V&V Plans, VCRM, and Acceptance Test Plans Plan and execute system-level verification activities across complex integrated environments Maintain end-to-end traceability from requirements through to verification evidence Support system integration and incremental verification for AIR6500 JABMS capability Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Test & Evaluation, Quality, and program stakeholders Contribute to continuous improvement of V&V frameworks, processes and tools Develop a deep understanding of system architecture, operational capability, and mission requirements About you: You are a seasoned V&V Engineer who brings a strong systems-thinking mindset and thrives in complex Defence environments. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring: A degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
