About the Role This is a full-time permanent Mental Health Worker position based in Orange, NSW, with regular travel to Bathurst and Dubbo to support service delivery across multiple sites. Operating within a co-located employment services environment, you will provide evidence-based mental health interventions to participants engaged in programs such as Workforce Australia, IEA and Transition to Work. This is not a traditional clinical setting, instead, you will work closely with Employment Consultants and site teams to address psychosocial barriers and improve participants’ job readiness and overall wellbeing. As the sole allied health professional across sites, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals experiencing complex challenges, many of whom have faced long-term unemployment. The role is hands-on, collaborative and highly rewarding, delivering real impact at a community level. Key Responsibilities Provide short-term, evidence-based mental health interventions Conduct assessments and support individuals with complex psychosocial barriers Collaborate with Employment Consultants to improve participant outcomes and job readiness Participate in case conferencing and contribute to employment planning Support clients who may not otherwise engage with traditional mental health services Facilitate referrals to external services where appropriate Engage actively in site-based team environments, meetings and activities Maintain accurate documentation aligned with program requirements The Successful Candidate Will Hold an Australian recognised tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or related field (essential) Have current registration or membership with a relevant professional body (AHPRA, AASW, PACFA or ACA) Bring experience working with complex or disadvantaged client groups (highly desirable) Be confident working independently as the sole mental health professional in a non-clinical setting Demonstrate strong interpersonal and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams Show resilience, adaptability and a strong commitment to social justice outcomes Be willing to travel between Orange, Bathurst and Dubbo as required Application Information To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter as Word documents to info@torwoodrecruitment.com.au.
