Recruitment & Onboarding Officer Carroll CHPP Consultancy Queensland (Office-based with site/client liaison as required) Full-Time | Mining & Resources Sector Carroll CHPP Consultancy is a trusted provider of operational, technical and workforce solutions to coal mining operations across Queensland. Due to continued growth and increasing client demand, we are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Recruitment & Onboarding Officer to join our team. Reporting directly to the Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator and Operations Manager , this role plays a critical part in sourcing, mobilising and onboarding skilled personnel for our coal mining clients across QLD. About the Role This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who thrives in mining recruitment environments and understands the compliance, safety and mobilisation requirements of coal operations. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure our clients receive high-quality, compliant and work-ready personnel. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end recruitment for CHPP and coal mining roles across QLD Draft and advertise job postings (SEEK and other platforms) Screen applications, conduct interviews and shortlist suitable candidates Complete reference checks and verification processes Coordinate pre-employment medicals, drug & alcohol testing, and site inductions Manage onboarding documentation and compliance requirements Liaise with site contacts, supervisors and client representatives Maintain accurate recruitment records and reporting Support workforce planning in collaboration with the Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator and Operations Manager Ensure all mobilisation requirements align with coal mine safety and compliance standards About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience in mining, resources or blue-collar recruitment A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mining or resources recruitment Strong understanding of QLD coal mine compliance and onboarding requirements Experience coordinating medicals, competencies, SSE inductions and site access Excellent organisational and administrative skills Ability to manage multiple roles and competing deadlines Strong communication skills and professional client engagement High attention to detail and compliance focus Proficiency in recruitment systems and Microsoft Office Desirable: Experience recruiting CHPP, operators, trades or shutdown personnel Knowledge of the QLD coal mining safety framework Why Join Carroll CHPP Consultancy?
