Designed from the ground up to deliver world-class veterinary care, SASH Perth will offer excellence across Emergency & Critical Care (ECC), Internal Medicine, Surgery, Anaesthesia, and Oncology. About the Role As ECC Nurse Team Leader , you will play a key leadership role in establishing and shaping our 24/7 Emergency and Critical Care nursing team from day one. You will provide strong clinical leadership while remaining hands-on, ensuring exceptional patient care and the smooth day-to-day operation of our Emergency and ICU services. Working closely with the Nurse Manager and fellow Team Leaders, you will support team development, staffing, and clinical excellence across the department. Key Responsibilities: Perform triage, admission, and ongoing management of emergency patients Deliver treatments and post-operative care for critically ill patients Plan and safely administer anaesthesia for unstable or high-risk cases Support medical and surgical procedures in ICU and emergency settings Provide 1:1 mentoring, coaching, and on-the-job training Support the growth and development of nursing team members Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture Assist with workforce planning and day-to-day staffing needs Communicate effectively with clients at admission and discharge This position requires flexibility to work across a rotating 24/7 roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. About You You are an experienced ECC Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You're passionate about patient care, enjoy mentoring others, and are eager to contribute to building a high-performing team in a brand-new hospital. To be successful in this role, you will have: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar emergency, referral, or aftercare environment Current registration with the Veterinary Practice Board of WA (essential) Proven ability to prioritise and manage competing demands Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capability Previous experience in a leadership or senior nursing role Experience using EzyVet (desirable) Why Join SASH Perth?
