About the Role The Nurse Manager will provide clinical, operational, and people leadership across our nursing team, ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care while fostering a strong learning culture and collaborative environment. Working closely with Team Leaders and senior nurses, the Nurse Manager will have dedicated time to focus on leadership, strategic planning, clinical oversight, and the coaching and development of staff. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse leader with broad clinical expertise, strong leadership capability, excellent organisational skills, and a genuine passion for education and team development. Key Responsibilities: Providing coaching and mentorship across nursing team Support and develop Team Leaders and senior nurses Champion learning and development initiatives across the hospital Collaborate with stakeholders across the business Oversee and manage hospital-wide nurse rostering Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings, and performance conversations Lead policy implementation and continuous process improvement Provide hands-on clinical support when required About You You are an experienced veterinary nurse leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is passionate about building engaged, high-preforming teams. You balance clinical excellence with operational and people leadership, and bring a proactive, structured, and solutions-focused approach. You will demonstrate: Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills Confidence navigating complexity and change The ability to prioritise competing demands while maintaining operational focus Alignment with and embodiment of SASH values To be considered, you will have: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) Minimum 5 years’ full-time experience as a qualified vet nurse Current registration with the Veterinary Practice Board of WA (essential) Proven leadership experience, including managing Team Leaders Experience in workforce planning, performance management, and operational decision-making Strong organisational skills and confidence using clinical and business systems Why Join SASH Perth?
