This newly created role sits within Tourism & Events Strategy and offers the opportunity to turn data into decisions that directly impact one of Australia's most unique destinations. For agency-side researchers considering a move client-side, opportunities like this are rare. The Opportunity You'll lead strategic research programs spanning visitor behaviour, brand health, market segmentation, economic impact and event evaluation. Partnering with government, industry and agency stakeholders, you'll oversee quantitative and qualitative studies and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations that influence investment, strategy and planning. What You'll Be Doing Leading tourism and events research programs Managing external research agencies and vendors Designing and overseeing quantitative and qualitative studies Developing segmentation frameworks and tracking programs Evaluating campaign and event performance Delivering insights on visitor behaviour and market opportunities Presenting findings to senior stakeholders Building research capability across the organisation About You You'll bring: Experience in market research, insights or strategic consulting Strong quantitative and qualitative research expertise Experience with tracking, segmentation or strategic insight programs Confidence managing stakeholders and research suppliers The ability to translate data into clear commercial recommendations Tourism experience is welcome but not essential.
