An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Structural Engineer to join the growing Brisbane team. This role is ideal for a highly technical and collaborative engineer looking to work on a diverse range of residential, commercial, and industrial projects within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. Working closely with the broader engineering team, you will lead end-to-end structural design delivery, mentor junior staff, and manage key client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Design & Project Delivery: Lead the end-to-end delivery of structural design projects, producing high-quality documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company protocols. Technical Problem Solving: Apply advanced engineering judgment and foresight to proactively identify, manage, and resolve complex structural design challenges. Team Leadership & Mentoring: Coordinate and mentor engineers and drafters, providing technical guidance and quality oversight to support team capability and career progression. Stakeholder Management: Manage client relationships, coordinate with external sub-consultants and authorities, and oversee inspections, reporting, and structural certifications. Commercial & Financial Management: Prepare fee proposals, tender submissions, scopes of work, and project budgets, while ensuring effective invoicing and financial performance. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to business growth by strengthening drafting standards, implementing best-practice engineering systems, and identifying new project opportunities. Who We Are Looking For Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Professional Registration: Current CPEng (Chartered Professional Engineer) and RPEQ accreditation are essential. Experience: Minimum 8 years of structural design experience across residential, commercial, and industrial building projects. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in structural design software and AutoCAD. Comprehensive knowledge and practical application of relevant Australian Standards and core structural engineering principles. Proven ability to independently prepare detailed and concept structural designs, technical reports, and coordinated drawing packages. Project & Team Capabilities: Strong project coordination skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Certifications: Current Class C Driver’s Licence and General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
