With exciting growth plans underway, they are relaunching their catering division and seeking an experienced Head Chef to take ownership of a large-scale production kitchen. The Role As Head Chef, you will oversee the daily operations of a busy central production kitchen servicing multiple areas of the business, including catering, large-scale meal production and food service. Leading an established kitchen team with the support of two Sous Chefs, you will be responsible for maintaining exceptional food quality, improving operational efficiencies and driving the next stage of growth within the catering division. Your responsibilities will include: Leading, mentoring and developing a large kitchen brigade Overseeing high-volume daily food production and service deadlines Designing and developing innovative menus across multiple food streams Managing labour, rostering and kitchen productivity Maintaining HACCP compliance and food safety standards Driving continuous improvements across systems, workflow and kitchen efficiency Managing food quality, stock control, waste and food costs Leading from the front during busy production periods Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef or experienced Senior Sous Chef Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams Experience working within high-volume kitchens or large-scale food production Proven menu development and costing experience Strong knowledge of rostering, labour management and kitchen productivity Excellent understanding of HACCP, food safety and compliance Commercial awareness with a focus on food costs, labour control and operational efficiency Benefits & Culture Monday to Friday roster with predominantly day shifts Lead a large, well-established production kitchen Play a key role in relaunching an exciting catering division Work alongside two experienced Sous Chefs and an established team Genuine autonomy to influence menus, systems and kitchen operations Join a successful South Australian business with strong values and long-term growth plans Excellent leadership support and opportunities to make a lasting impact To apply online, please click on the apply button.
