Manager, Environment & Release Permanent Full-Time Opportunity Sydney | Hybrid Working (2 Days Onsite / 3 Days WFH) Grade 11/12: $149K – $173K Super We are looking for an experienced Manager, Environment & Release to lead environment and release management practices across a complex enterprise technology landscape. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving release governance, ensuring stable delivery environments, and enabling seamless technology deployments across multiple projects and applications. You will play a critical role in overseeing release planning, managing production readiness, and leading a high-performing technical team while working closely with stakeholders across business and technology functions. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end release lifecycle across multiple applications and projects, ensuring technology changes are deployed successfully with minimal business disruption. Deliver secure, stable, and fit-for-purpose environments that support development, testing, and quality assurance activities. Establish and maintain enterprise-wide release calendars, schedules, and governance processes to manage dependencies, risks, and technology change visibility. Coordinate environment bookings and negotiate priorities with project teams, system owners, and stakeholders. Provide expert advice and oversight within the Change Advisory Board (CAB), ensuring release and environment considerations are embedded into change planning activities. Drive continuous improvement across release and environment management processes, standards, and service delivery. Manage day-to-day team operations, including resource planning, performance management, staff development, and service standards. About You Extensive experience in environment and release management within complex enterprise environments. Proven track record managing releases across multiple applications and coordinating delivery across technology and business teams. Strong leadership experience with the ability to mentor technical teams and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture. Previous experience: Azure DevOps Azure AD GitHub or similar code repositories Automated build and release pipelines CI/CD tools and practices Solid understanding of: Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) ITIL frameworks and release management processes Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills.
