We are seeking a Defence Procurement / Commercial Officer to support the delivery of complex procurement and contract management activities across a high-profile Defence program in Canberra. This role will see you working closely with technical, engineering, and project teams to manage end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring compliance, value for money, and strong commercial outcomes across a range of Defence-related capabilities. Key Responsibilities Manage procurement activities from sourcing through to contract execution and close-out Develop and review tender and contract documentation in line with Commonwealth procurement requirements Support negotiation of commercial terms with suppliers and industry partners Monitor contract performance, risk, and compliance across assigned packages Work closely with internal stakeholders to align procurement outcomes with project delivery needs Provide commercial advice and support across procurement strategy and governance About You Experience in procurement, commercial, or contract management roles (ideally within Defence or Government) Strong understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate into commercial solutions Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities Desirable Defence industry experience Exposure to complex engineering or technical procurement environments NV1 security clearance or ability to obtain What's on Offer Opportunity to work on critical Defence programs in Canberra Career development within a growing Defence capability space Collaborative and high-performing team environment All applications should include your resume as a word document.
