Our Government client is hiring for a highly capable Benefits Realisation Manager to join their organisation. This role is suited to someone with a PMO background, with experience in: working across business KPI's and establishing metrics; working with business cases; and an ability to interact with business stakeholders and program sponsors. Role Title: Benefits Realisation Manager Contract Length: Until December 18 th 2026. Daily Pay: $950 - $1,000 Super per day Location: 3 days in Office, at Macquarie Park (2113) and the rest WFH Key Responsibilities Benefits Definition & Planning Translate high-level business case outcomes into measurable benefits Develop and maintain benefits registers Define KPIs, baselines, and target metrics Align benefits with strategic objectives and portfolio measures Measurement & Reporting Establish new performance metrics where none exist Partner with teams to Identify data sources and design dashboards and reporting frameworks Track benefits via executive-level reporting Stakeholder Engagement Gain agreement on measures Drive ownership of benefits Facilitate workshops to define and validate benefits Influence stakeholders to adopt a measurement mindset Integration with Change & Delivery Work closely with the Change Team to: Embed benefits into change activities Align adoption metrics with benefits realisation Partner with project teams to ensure delivery supports benefits Governance & Risk Identify risks to benefits realisation (e.g. lack of data, adoption gaps) Escalate issues at SteerCo level Ensure benefits remain aligned despite scope changes or backlog items Key Deliverables & Measures of Success include: Benefits Register Measurement Framework (KPIs, baselines, targets) Benefits Dashboard / Reports Sponsor-aligned Benefits Plan Inputs to business case tracking and SteerCo reporting & Agreed and owned benefits across all projects Reporting in place before go-live Demonstrated adoption linked to benefit outcomes Clear visibility of benefit progress post-implementation Required Experience: Proven experience as a Benefits Realisation Manager, Benefits Lead, Portfolio Benefits Manager, or similar role on large-scale transformation programs. Strong understanding of benefits realisation methodologies, business case management, and portfolio governance. Demonstrated experience developing benefits frameworks, KPIs, performance measures, and executive reporting. Ability to establish meaningful metrics where no existing measures currently exist. Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting data and presenting insights to senior executives. Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence senior business leaders and executive sponsors. Experience within higher education, government, or other large, complex organisations is seen as desirable.
