Your new role As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting both business-as-usual (BAU) reporting and the evolution of the organisation's data and analytics capabilities, with a strong emphasis on automation and efficiency.A key priority in this role is BAU support and automation, ensuring critical reporting and processes are stable, scalable, and increasingly optimised through modern tooling.You will work across a diverse technology stack, with a strong focus on Python and SQL, while supporting and transitioning legacy workflows currently built in SAS and Alteryx into scalable, GitHub-managed Python solutions. Key responsibilities include: Delivering and maintaining BAU reporting, with a focus on reliability and automation Driving process improvement and automation across existing reporting workflows Leading the migration of SAS/Alteryx workflows into Python-based pipelines Developing and maintaining Python solutions using VS Code and/or AWS JupyterLab environments Working with large and complex datasets to generate insights and improve decision-making Contributing to risk analytics initiatives, including: Supporting development of LLM (Large Language Model) use cases within risk Analysing messaging and unstructured data to identify vulnerability and behavioural risk signals Collaborating with stakeholders across risk, compliance, and data teams to deliver high-quality analytical outcomes What you'll need to succeed Strong experience in a Senior Data Analyst or similar role, ideally within banking or financial services Proven ability to support and enhance BAU reporting and automation processes Technical skills: SQL (very strong - essential) Python (strong - essential), with experience using VS Code and/or AWS JupyterLab Working knowledge of SAS and/or Alteryx, with the ability to understand, maintain, and amend existing workflows Experience working with large and complex datasets Desirable: Exposure to risk analytics, modelling, or regulatory environments Awareness or experience with Dataverse (not essential but advantageous) Exposure to AI/ML or LLM-related use cases Core competencies: Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking Ability to derive insights from both structured and unstructured data Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills What you'll get in return Opportunity to work on high-impact data transformation and risk analytics initiatives Exposure to modern data tooling, cloud environments, and emerging AI capabilities A collaborative and forward-thinking data environment The chance to make a meaningful impact on risk management and customer outcomes What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
