HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced Director, Development Feasibility in CANBERRA to lead the financial evaluation and feasibility assessment of major development and infrastructure projects within a high-profile ACT Government environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior professional with expertise in property economics, development feasibility, financial modelling, valuations, or corporate finance to influence significant investment and development decisions. About the Role As the Director, Development Feasibility, you will be responsible for leading the preparation, review, and continuous improvement of development feasibility models that support major land development and infrastructure projects. You will provide strategic commercial advice, undertake complex financial analysis, and work closely with project delivery teams and senior stakeholders to inform investment decisions. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation and review of complex development feasibility models. Conduct residual land value assessments, cash flow forecasting, and sensitivity analysis. Evaluate project viability using IRR, NPV, margin, and return metrics. Prepare and coordinate funding submissions and business cases. Provide strategic commercial and financial advice to senior stakeholders. Maintain and enhance feasibility modelling tools, frameworks, and templates. Partner with project teams and consultants to validate assumptions and assess project viability. Support investment and development decisions through robust financial analysis. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Extensive experience in development feasibility, property economics, valuations, finance, or commercial analysis. Advanced financial modelling capabilities. Strong understanding of development projects, infrastructure investment, or property markets. Experience undertaking NPV, IRR, DCF, and residual land value analysis. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial information to executive stakeholders. Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Property, Valuations, Commerce, or a related discipline.
