That's where you come in. About the role We're looking for a Procurement Coordinator who enjoys solving problems, asking questions and building strong relationships. This is more than running procurement processes. You'll be a trusted partner to our project teams, helping deliver procurement outcomes that are compliant, commercially sound and add real value to the business. You'll coordinate end-to-end sourcing and tender activities, support supplier engagement and governance, and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement decisions are delivered efficiently and with integrity. This is an office-based role located in Redfern, where you'll be working alongside project and commercial teams, and subcontractors and suppliers. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being in the office and around people, collaborating face-to-face and building strong working relationships. What you'll be doing Managing end-to-end procurement and tender activities, including planning, documentation, evaluation support, approvals and award recommendations. Developing and maintaining procurement strategies that align with Sydney Water requirements, project objectives and value-for-money outcomes. Providing procurement advice and governance support to ensure procurement activities comply with D4C and Sydney Water policies and procedures. Supporting supplier onboarding, prequalification and ongoing compliance activities. Auditing procurement activities across projects to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Partnering with delivery teams to understand procurement requirements, provide advice and support successful project outcomes. Supporting the management and continuous improvement of Sydney Water Shared Purchasing Panels, including gathering supplier performance feedback. Maintaining accurate procurement records, documentation and registers to support governance, audit readiness and contract administration. Identifying procurement risks and working collaboratively to resolve issues before they impact project delivery. Building strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes that support project success. About you We're less interested in how many years you've worked and more interested in how you approach challenges. You'll likely be someone who: Has experience in procurement, contracts, commercial support, project coordination or a similar role. Enjoys building relationships and collaborating with people across different teams. Thinks critically and isn't afraid to ask questions or challenge the status quo. Has excellent organisational skills and can manage multiple procurement activities at once. Takes ownership, shows initiative and follows through. Has strong attention to detail and understands the importance of governance and compliance. Is confident communicating with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Has strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
