About the Position We're excited to welcome a Specialist Domestic and Family Violence Practitioner to our Mackay Family and Child Connect (FaCC) team. In this important role, you'll provide specialist domestic and family violence expertise to support children, young people and families, helping them access the right support at the right time. Working alongside colleagues, community partners and families, you'll play a key role in promoting safety, strengthening wellbeing and supporting positive outcomes. Level 5 SCHCADS Award. Salary range: $105,578 – $110,360 Superannuation. Full-time, Government funded contract opportunity until 05 February 2027 to cover a period of leave. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist domestic and family violence expertise by undertaking risk assessments, safety planning and supporting informed decision-making for families and teams. Make a meaningful impact for families through direct client work, needs assessments, short-term interventions and referrals to appropriate support services. Strengthen community responses by collaborating with local services, government agencies and Local Level Alliances to improve support pathways. Support child safety and wellbeing by identifying risks, navigating complex conversations and helping families access the support they need to thrive. About You Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (allied health, social work, human services) with professional registration (if required) and, a membership in a professional association (desirable). At least five (5) years’ experience working in a domestic and family violence capacity. Eligibility to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required), including holding or obtaining required checks (Working with Children Check or professional exemption). Current driver’s licence.
