About the Organisation Our client is a member-based organisation operating within a major university, delivering a broad calendar of events, activities and services that shape campus life. With a strong community focus and a packed events calendar throughout the year, the organisation plays a central role in student engagement, culture and experience on campus. About the Role Working closely with the Events & Marketing Manager, you'll help plan and execute everything from large-scale market days and orientation week events through to cultural celebrations and community initiatives. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives on variety, enjoys working across multiple stakeholders, and is comfortable managing the full lifecycle of an event - from planning and budgeting through to on-the-day delivery and post-event evaluation. Key Responsibilities Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to design and deliver events Assist with content development for social media channels Manage relationships with event partners, suppliers and vendors Manage budgets, run sheets and event databases, and ensure costs and expenses are accurately recorded Conduct independent site checks and oversee event set-up where required Draft clear written communications and event information on behalf of the organisation What You'll Bring 2-4 years' demonstrated experience in planning and managing large-scale public events Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to keep stakeholders informed and engaged A collaborative approach, with experience building positive working relationships across teams and functions Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Sound judgement and practical problem-solving skills, with the ability to know when to escalate A customer-focused mindset, committed to high standards of service delivery Reliability, accountability and a strong sense of ownership over outcomes Why This Role Be part of a vibrant, community-focused organisation with a packed and varied events calendar Hands-on exposure to end-to-end event delivery, from concept through to post-event reporting Work alongside a supportive events and marketing team in a dynamic campus environment Great opportunity for an events professional looking for variety and autonomy in a temporary contract
