THE ROLE The Senior Policy Officer, Aboriginal Policy Reform and Accountability, supports the delivery of initiatives designed to improve outcomes for First Peoples across the Department's breadth of Ministerial portfolios. In this role you will drive strategic whole-of-department coordination and advice that enables self-determination and supports effort to close the gap in outcomes between First Peoples and non-Indigenous people. You will work closely with colleagues across the Department to enable aligned and cohesive efforts to transform government systems to better enable self-determination. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Support the delivery of high-quality policy advice on complex and strategic policy matters, demonstrating awareness of, and ensuring alignment with, whole-of-government First Peoples policy commitments. Lead the strategic coordination of the Department's contributions to implementing the National Agreement on Closing the Gap, Victorian Aboriginal Affairs Framework, and cross-portfolio reforms or strategies. * Develop high-quality written products, including briefs, correspondence, presentations, and reports.
