We are seeking a reliable and versatile Production Technician to join a high-performing manufacturing team. In this role, you will handle the physical build, final detailing, and testing of specialised technology units. You will be responsible for precision mechanical assembly, basic electronics testing, fine metal finishing, and prepping completed goods for dispatch. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, great attention to detail, and a pride in high-quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities Electro-Mechanical Assembly: Perform precision mechanical and electrical assembly of specialised hardware units and enclosures using a variety of hand and power tools. Precision Fastening: Ensure all components, brackets, bolts, and nuts are securely assembled and torqued precisely to engineering specifications. Labeling & Compliance: Accurately position and apply required identification, serial, and compliance stickers onto completed components and units. Finishing & Quality Touch-Ups: Efficiently remove finished items from the production line and perform final touch-ups, including deburring, polishing, and smoothing metal chassis edges. Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct functional testing on components using standard electronic and manufacturing test equipment, reporting any technical faults or defects. Palletisation & Dispatch Prep: Safely load completed products onto pallets, ensuring they are securely stacked, shrink-wrapped, and fully prepped for transport. Workstation & Safety Prep: Complete pre-shift workstation preparation, conduct visual quality checks to ensure products meet specification, and strictly follow all workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures. Qualifications, Experience & Skills Experience: 1 years' experience in electro-mechanical assembly, production line manufacturing, or a similar hands-on trade environment. Technical Literacy: Ability to read, interpret, and follow basic technical work instructions and mechanical drawings. Tool Proficiency: Confident using hand tools, precision torque tools, and basic metal finishing equipment (deburring tools, sanders/polishers). Attention to Detail: High standard of quality control—ensuring hardware is perfectly aligned and labels are precisely placed.
