About the role We’re seeking an experienced and confident Credit Officer to join our Credit team at Horsley Park. Reporting to the Assistant Credit Manager, you will be responsible for implementing Brickworks’ credit policies and accounts receivable procedures while delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining strong attention to detail. Duties include but are not limited to: • Follow established procedures to collect credit information, maintain accurate records and minimise outstanding debts. • Construct account reconciliations and manage claims through to resolution. • Investigate and assess the creditworthiness of potential customers. • Verify credit references to ensure accurate credit assessment. • Communicate company credit management policies to customers and sales teams. • Identify overdue accounts, contact customers regarding outstanding payments, and prepare status reports on credit and collection activities. • Explain discrepancies identified in exception reports. • Assist with administration tasks including group inbox management, manual invoices, credit notes and customer refunds. • Attend to high volume debtor incoming calls. • Undertake additional duties as required, including coverage during staff leave. • Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner and comply with WHS policies and procedures. Success Requirements: • Minimum Certificate IV in Credit Management or equivalent. • Proven competency based learning within an accounts receivable environment. • Demonstrated experience in Credit & Collections. • Experienced in preparing monthly financial reports, including actual results and KPI reports. • Strong knowledge of Excel. • Knowledge of the legal framework for recovery of debts. • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills • Excellent customer service skills. • Adept at learning systems and processes. • Accuracy and high attention to detail. • Ability to apply a sense of urgency to resolve disputes effectively and efficiently.
